Understanding Aid Dynamics: How the COVID-19 Pandemic has affected aid in Pakistan

Description

COVID-19 has made the world incredibly unstable. Different countries have been impacted by the pandemic in different ways, but the most vulnerable are those with developing economies, or considered a part of the global south. Pakistan is a country that repeatedly finds itself facing economic issues, and requires loans or aid in order for it to survive. Actors such as the World Health Organization, the World Bank, and countries like the United States, have been key when it comes to providing aid to Pakistan. Because of this, the question of how reliant Pakistan is on aid has arisen. The question of whether or not the country’s economy will survive has become a major cause of concern. An explanation of these dynamics will explain and address most of these concerns.
